Frequently asked questions about our resources

Who publishes and maintains these resources?

Capital Foncier (SARL incorporated in Côte d'Ivoire, based in Abidjan) publishes and updates these resources. Legal content is drafted in-house and cross-checked with official texts (Ordinance 2013-481, Law 2020-624, Law 98-750 as amended, MCLU and AFOR decrees).

Where do the subdivision data come from?

The 5,230 approved subdivisions are sourced from the official portal of the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Urban Planning (MCLU). Data is refreshed weekly, geocoded, and enriched (commune, status, year of approval).

How are directory professionals reviewed?

Each profile undergoes a documentary review: licence or bar registration number (notaries, surveyors, lawyers), professional address, and public contact details. Profiles without a verifiable accreditation are removed.

Are the resources really free?

Yes — access to the directory, blog, glossary, subdivisions database, and public API is fully free and requires no sign-up. Capital Foncier monetises its support services (land diagnostics, transaction safeguarding), not access to public data.
